Doelstelling
De herinnering aan de vermaarde kunsthistoricus levend houden.
Organisatie
De Stichting Gerson Lezingen en de Faculteit der Letteren van de Rijksuniversiteit Groningen. Zij organiseren de lezing sinds 1981 elke twee jaar. Een prominent buitenlands kunsthistoricus spreekt de rede uit tijdens een officiële academische plechtigheid in de aula van de Groningse universiteit. De Horst Gerson-lezing is voor iedereen toegankelijk.
