Jan Breman (1926), of anglo-dutch birth,  flew for the R.A.F. after the liberation of the Netherlands in 1945. Transferred to the RNAF in 1947 in the Netherlands East Indies he went on to read Law at Leiden University to join his country's diplomatic service. He was appointed Ambassador to Strasbourg (Council of Europe), Saudi Arabia and Canada. Residing mostly in Italy his passion for anything with wings remains unabated.
